SSED quality circles as support in the treatment of eating disorders

The Swiss Society for Eating Disorders SSED promotes and supports the formation and activities of quality circles to treat eating disorders.

The aim is to improve regional networking and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, especially outside of specialized centers.

Several specialists (approx. 5-10) from various professional fields involved in the treatment of eating disorders, such as medicine, psychiatry, psychology, nutritional counseling, body therapy, etc., come together in a small group in the form of a quality circle to maintain an open exchange of experience and to acquire and apply new, practice-oriented knowledge.

A quality circle is led by a moderator (also in rotation mode) and, if possible, 8-10 meetings of 1.5 hours each take place annually.

Moderators who work independently are compensated 300.- for each meeting. The compensation is paid as soon as a summary of the meeting has been submitted to the SSED Board.

The relevant information on the quality circle (name, contact person, place, and time) is listed on the SSED website. Interested persons can register directly with the contact person. Professionals who would like to found a quality circle should send their details to the SSED secretariat sekretariat@sges-ssta-ssda.ch.
