SSED Working Groups

Working Group: Public Relations and Prevention (currently paused)

The goal of the Working Group (WG) is to raise public awareness about eating disorders and promote prevention through presentations, workshops, and training programs. Currently, the WG is actively involved in projects targeting groups with an elevated risk of developing eating disorders, such as members of academic sports associations and dancers in training. Collaborating with contacts at sports academies and the management of the Zurich Dance Academy, the WG provides active information sessions and preventive, supportive interventions. Plans are underway to expand the scope of these efforts to include additional at-risk groups.

The WG is composed of professionals from various fields, including medicine, nutritional counseling, and movement therapy. The team welcomes new members who can bring fresh ideas, connections to new target groups, media expertise, or experience in modern communication techniques.
